My Story

Originally from Newcastle, I picked up a golf club aged 11 and never looked back. By 16, I was playing off 3 and representing my county at junior level. In 2009, I enrolled at the University of Stirling — Scotland’s University for Sporting Excellence — where I rebuilt the university golf club and was honoured with a Colours Award for my contribution to the game.

I later worked in Australia at iconic sporting events like The Formula 1 Grand Prix, The Australian Open, and The Ashes, before returning to Scotland and turning pro in 2017.

Since then, I’ve:

• Coached full-time at Murrayfield and Swanston Golf Academies

• Completed the PGA Training Programme

• Won PGA Assistant of the Year (twice)

• Built two of Edinburgh’s most successful golf academies

• Introduced thousands of players — young and old — to the game

• Been shortlisted for Scottish Golf Coach of the Year in 2025
